Blood Sugar Scale

Blood sugar should be one of our main concerns. We should take care of our blood as it is our life element. Monitor it with the blood sugar scale.

Blood sugar levels should always be safe. To ensure it is, measure it with the blood sugar scale. The blood is one of the main elements of our body to keep us going and to keep us alive, it is equally important that the sugar it contains is within safe range. If you are diabetic and are taking medications, or watching your diet or doing activities to make your sugar levels at safe range, blood testing is important to see how well and effective is your regimen doing.

By keeping the blood sugar at safe range, diabetes complications such as heart, kidney, feet and eye diseases are avoided.

Since blood sugar levels are not static because they change depending on the body’s processes conditions especially before, during and after taking meals. Safe and risky blood sugar levels differ on the situations as seen in the readings from the blood sugar scale.

It is important to know the dangerous and safe levels alike. Then do the necessary remedial actions to correct the levels if they fall at a risky range already.

Risky blood sugar scale

180 mg/dl one to two hours after meal is diabetes
130 mg/dl before eating is diabetes
70 mg/dl or below is hypoglycemia. It goes with symptoms like shakiness, dizziness, sweating and pounding heart beat.

Risky or dangerous blood sugar levels must be detected immediately. Immediate actions should be done to remedy the situation.

Safe blood sugar ranges

The following blood sugar levels as read from the blood sugar scale are safe ranges:

140 mg/dl after eating
100 to 140 mg/dl is the ideal sugar range during bedtime
90 to 100 mg/dl is the target fasting blood sugar before eating
To avoid the risky levels while achieving the safe ranges, one must watch over his diet and physical activities or exercise.
