The Amazing Vitamin K and Blood Sugar

Researches gave a stunning discovery that vitamin K maybe one of the vitamins that can help regularte blood sugar. It is an anti-aging vitamin that is most extraordinary that has powers that no other vitamin can offer.

Vitamin K is a very exciting anti-aging vitamin that comes from green vegetables. It helps regulate blood sugar and in general, makes blood coagulate. That itself is a big deal. Vitamin K may even help prevent osteoporosis and heart disease from happening. It is stronger than vitamin E and antioxidant. It is predicted that vitamin K maybe the future cure for some types of cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

Arteriosclerosis and aging

Arteriosclerosis is hardened artery, and its main cause is aging (it does not have to do with cholesterol). Bad arteries already killed a lot of people in the United States and arteriosclerosis leads to stroke and heart attack. An artery is like an inner tube with built-in muscles that send blood through by contracting. When the artery is hard, it cannot contract, as it does not have muscle tone anymore.

Vitamin K protects the heart

Experiments showed that Vitamin K not only helps regulate blood sugar but this amazing vitamin also helps reduce the amount of calcium in the aorta to reduce its calcification. Arteries calcify as a person gets older. Bones do calcify too, and they are threats to health. People with calcified or hardened aorta are at 7 times of higher risk of heart attack and dying. Calcification is equally dangerous as fatty build-up. Bones need the calcium, but the arteries cannot stand them. Vitamin K regulates calcium by keeping them in the bones but getting it out from the arteries. It indirectly prevents osteoporosis and heart attack.

Vitamin K on blood sugar

Vitamin K helps regulate blood sugar. It is found to be abundant in the pancreas. Studies found that deficiency of vitamin K in the pancreas impedes glucose clearance, thus results to releasing of much insulin, and eventually diabetes.

It will take a whole new webpage to talk about the amazing effects and powers that vitamin K can bring to humans. Again, good sources of vitamin K are green leafy vegetables like lettuce with vegetable oils following as the second good source.
